ABC Wednesday - Letter B

Welcome to ABC Wednesday. Hard to believe I'm posting this early this week, usually I'm late. This week is the letter B. B is for Butterflies. These butterfly photos were taken in 2006 during a trip to Magic Wings in Massachusetts. We had a wonderful trip that day. These are a few of my favorite photos. The butterflies were so gorgeous and the colors are amazing.

It wouldn't be the a B post if I didn't share a picture of my dog Buddy. Did you think you were going to get away without seeing Buddy? No Way!!! This is Buddy being tired after playing with Aunt Kayla and Me. He's so cute!!

New Hair Do/ABC Wednesday

It's a new start to ABC Wednesday. We are starting round 4. Hope you can join us. Being it's a new year, new round I thought I would share A new hair style with you that I have..

I have always had long curly hair. I thought it was time for a change so after work I cut my hair off and had it straighten (flat iron). I like it, but it's going to take some time to get used to. I miss my curls though.

This photo of Buddy was taken shortly after we got him. He was on the edge of the bed sleeping when I thought I would get down on the floor and take a picture of him sleeping and instead I got this. My timing couldn't have been any better. I love this photo!!! I used this photo and some other photos of sleepy Buddy on a scrapbook layout that can be seen here

ABC Wednesday - Letter Y

This week at ABC Wednesday we are up to the letter Y. The Letter Y = My Yellow Labrador Dog Buddy. Buddy will be 3 years next month. He is adorable. I love him so much. He is my furbaby and I love taking and sharing pictures of him.

This first picture was taken around Christmas of this year. He was so excited when our family from out of town came to visit not only did he get spoiled but the he got to play with the kids.

This second picture was taken shortly after we brung Buddy home. I love this picture. This is one of my all time favorites. I had to pull it out again for this post.

These photos were taken last weekend when our family came from out of state to celebrate Christmas. Buddy got spoiled by everyone (loads of biscuits and toys). He was such a good boy and he played so
well with the kids. Buddy laid in front of the presents (bones) patiently waiting to open and have one. I think Buddy was more patient about opening presents then the kids were though.

Buddy loves the snow. He loves to stick his head in the snow. When it was time to bring him inside he fought us and tried to get away so he didn't have to come in. With the help of Jeff and I we were able to get the 100 pound yellow lab in the house. If you click on the picture to enlarge it you can see better that Buddy is licking the snow off his nose. How funny!

ABC Wednesday - Letter w

I'm late posting this week due to the Christmas Holiday. We had a very nice Christmas and I hope you all had the same.

This week's ABC Wednesday is the letter W. W = Winter here in upstate New York. I was hoping for a white Christmas and we definitely had one. We had about 2 feet of snow dumped on us last Friday but with the rain and temps in the high 40's it's starting to melt, but there still is a decent amount out there. These pictures were taken the day of the storm (Friday Dec. 19).

It has been snowing here since Friday afternoon. I have been busy making Christmas Gifts and going to Disney on Ice Show (pictures can be seen in the below post) that we finally made time today to take Buddy out to play in the snow. He loves the snow and the silly dog loves to bury his head in the snow. This is one of my favorite shots from today. This is perfect, he is so handsome, no I'm not basis at all. LOL! 100 Years of Magic Disney on Ice

Jeff and I went to Disney On Ice Celebrates 100 years of Magic. If you ever get a chance to attend a Disney Ice show I strongly recommend going, they are fantastic! We had terrific seats and got a lot of awesome photos. There were 18 different stories, the show lasted 2 hours (minus a small 15 minute break if that long). The photos below are a few of my favorites (I'm thrilled with the way a majority of the photos turned out). Remember you can click on the photos to enlarge them for better viewing, I strongly recommend it for the last photo. I have plenty more photos to share if you would like to see some more leave me a comment, better yet tell me who your favorite Disney character is and maybe they were at the show and I'll post a photo for you. ABC Wednesday - Letter V

This week's ABC Wednesday is the letter V. As we get to the end of the alphabet I struggle with photo's that correspond with that week's letter, but this week came real easy to me.

Letter V = Vanessa (aka Cutie as I call her). Vanessa is six years old she is Jay (my friends) cousin and she lives in New York City. I haven't had to the chance to meet her in person yet but I have talked on the computer through instant messenger. She is the cutest thing and she is so smart for her. There isn't a beat that gets by this girl. The things that come out of her mouth are funny, for example she didn't do her homework and the teacher asked why and she said "because talking to Chrissy was more important" so needless to say all homework must be done before talking to me. I hope to that Vanessa's other cousin will be a sweetie and bring her up this weekend for me to met her (something her mean cousin Jay won't do). I have Christmas gifts for this little cutie.

Beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in my part of the world. This past weekend Jeff and I drove around looking at the various Christmas Displays. Our first stop was at Frosty Fest in Ulster Park, NY. It is a drive through light display. It was our first time visiting this particular display it was okay but not what we expected (we have been to something similar in Albany and we prefer that one over Frosty Fest. Frosty Fest was nice but expensive $10 a person and it was very small it took about 10 minutes to drive through and that was taken our time vs. the one in Albany takes an hour if not more to go through and is $15 a car regardless the # of people in the car). These next 2 photos were taken on our way back home from Frosty Fest. I'm not sure if this is some one's home but what an amazing setup they have. Even the barn was decked out in lights!! If you click on the first photo in this group you will see Santa stuck in the chimney. This is awesome!! We enjoyed this display more then we did Frosty Fest.

The last 2 photos were taken in Saugerties NY. This light display is Courtesy of the Saugerties Kiwans. This is another spectacular display, this display we visit every year. I love the skaters on the little pond.

Scenic Sunday 22

On Friday we got hit with a heavy ice storm. Most of the surrounding areas were/still are without power. On Saturday we were out Christmas Shopping and took a ride through the boat launch thinking the river would be frozen but it wasn't.

This is the Dutchman's boat launch and the bridge in the background is the Rip Van Winkle Bridge (it connects Greene and Columbia Counties).

ABC Wednesday - Letter T

This week's ABC Wednesday is the letter T - for Thanksgiving! Last Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving. We had a low key Thanksgiving. This is the second year in a row that we had Thanksgiving at our house. Last year was just Jeff, Buddy, and I. This year Jeff's mother came over for dinner. We had a nice relaxing day (everyone stayed in their Pajamas nothing fancy).

Yummy! Turkey!!

I love this photo. Jeff and Joanie (Jeff's Mom) are looking through the sales flyer's for Black Friday deals and Buddy is looking at me to say "It smells so good in here, feed me".

Later on that evening I went over to my sisters for a few hours. Yes, I went there in my pajamas too. I usually go to my sister's in my pajamas. See I have to dress up all week for work and when it's a day off I look forward to being comfy. But to answer your question no I do not go shopping in my pajamas. I hate my picture taken but being it was a holiday I decided to cooperate and have my picture taken, Kayla (my sister loves her to be in front of the camera, I prefer to be behind the camera).

Winter is starting to settle in here in upstate NY. It was hailing and snowing earlier today. This is an older photo from my Lilly garden. It just got done raining when I went outside to take this photo. This is my favorite color Lilly in my garden (so far) I have yellow, peach color, pink, orange and red. These photo's of Buddy are a little on the blurry side but I love them (Over the next several days I am going to research online various photo editing software programs). On Thanksgiving Day Buddy stayed parked in the chair because he had the best seat in the house to watch Jeff cook dinner (no I don't cook). He sat in the chair and only got up and went into the kitchen if Jeff was doing a taste test, Buddy thought he should test the food too. If Jeff was at the stove Buddy didn't take his eyes off from him, Buddy would either be in the chair watching or sitting so good by Jeff's side hoping to get a taste of something yummy. More WWE Smackdown Photos

These photos are from this past Tuesday night we went to WWE Smackdown. Overall I am pleased with the photos but wish our camera had more of a zoom on it. After the holidays we are going to start saying to invest in a better camera with more zoom (I already have my eye on one). Please click on the photo's to enlarge them for better viewing.

We had awesome seats! I was able to get box seats from my employer. We had a great view of the ring. The arena was packed. There were only a small handful of empty seats. We got to see 2 Smackdown Shows (they will be aired tonight Fri. 11/28 and Fri 12/5)

I am drawing a blank I can not for the life of me think of the name of this big screen monitor. Under the monitor is where the wrestlers walk out. This is Carlito the wrestler.

This is Edge the wrestler walking out. Hard to see but if you click on the photo to enlarge it you can see Edge walking down the ramp to the ring.

Being that we got to see 2 shows we got to see a whole lot of Triple HHH (and I'm not complaining about that one bit). I got a lot of great photo's of him.

It was a great night and I can't complain the whole evening cost us about $20 (dinner at McDonalds and bag of popcorn and hotdog at the arena - tickets and unlimited drinks were provided by my employer). Next time I would love to go see WWE Raw (I prefer Raw over Smackdown but still it was fun).

ABC Wednesday - Letter S

I am really excited about this week's ABC Wednesday Letter S. The letter S couldn't have came at a better week. On Tuesday night Jeff and I went to WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) Smackdown event. The event was taped for TV (it will be on this Friday and next Friday). It was so cool we got to see not 1 but 2 Smackdown events. It was the price of one show but we got to see 2. It was fantastic. I received the tickets through my employer (box seat) the seats were fantastic, had an awesome view. The only thing I wish is that our camera had more of a zoom on it (currently own a FujiFilm E900 9.0 Mega Pixel). I would love to hear suggestions on a camera that has more of a zoom. Enough bragging lets get on to the pictures.

The first picture is the Smackdown Ring. The rest of the photos are from the Steel Cage Match between The Big Show and The Undertaker (this part of the show will be aired on TV Next Friday 12/5). If you are a wrestling fan be sure to check out my blog over the next several days

SkyWatch - 19

Welcome to SkyWatch! I took these photo's last Saturday. I went outside for something and when I walked out the door there was clear shot of a full moon. I quickly ran back in and grabbed my camera. I'm only an amateur photographer so they are not perfect shots by any means.

The first photo is better viewed if you click on it to enlarge. When you large the photo you can see a little
speck of white, that's the moon. The second photo is also better viewed if you click on it to enlarge. This photo I shot through the tree branches to give it that cold winter (creepy) kind of feeling. These photo's where taken when we first got Buddy. He hated the water. Can you imagine a Lab that doesn't like the water. LOL! Now he loves the water we have a heard time getting him out. Jeff and I took Buddy into the water and some how I manage to fall and Buddy saw me as an escape to get out of the water so he jumped on me. LOL! What a heck of a time we had because both Jeff and I were laughing so hard.

Next year when we go I will take a photo of the flower and the the sign telling you what type of flower it is (I know I know Jeff has told me to do this in the past but I never listened, I thought it was silly but actually it's not)

These photos were taken May 30, 2008 while we were in Connecticut visiting family. The sky all of a sudden opened up and it poured and hailed and then it stopped and it got bright and there was a rainbow. In the one photo you will notice there was a double rainbow. It was big rainbow, my Sister In Law wanted to go to the Casino and she kept saying that at the end of the rainbow was the Casino was a lucky day to. We never did make it to the Casino (really not my thing so it didn't bother me any) I much rather stay home and take photo's of the rainbow, just wish those wires weren't in the way. ABC Wednesday - Letter Q

This week's photo prompt at ABC Wednesday is the letter Q. This was a tricky one. This week the letter Q is for Queens. These pictures are from 2006. Jeff and I took Kayla (my sister) to Massachusetts for a day outing to Yankee Candle and the Butterfly Museum. It rained buckets that day but it didn't stop us from having fun. At Yankee Candle in the Bavarian section they had King and Queen chairs and hats. We had fun posing in the various hats they had. If you enlarge the photos of me (the one in the pink yes my hat reads King, I didn't know it until I saw the pictures, would explain why Jeff and Kayla were hysterical laughing at me, nothing like a good laugh at my expense). I must add one other thing I HATE my picture. There I feel better. LOL!

Welcome to my part of the world (Upstate New York). Every where you look these days the trees either have one leaf left on them or they are completely bare. All of the leafs are on the ground. I personally love the look for the leafs on the ground. I think it looks so pretty. Winter is slowly creeping in. I can't complain I do want one huge snow storm that shuts everything for miles around down, I love playing with our dog in the snow, he's such a riot.

Scenic Sunday 17

These photos are from our day trip last august to Lake George New York. The boats that you see here can be rented for a daily fee.

This is one of the several tour boats that are on Lake George. We have never been onto this particular boat but we have been on the Minnie Ha Ha which is very similar. These boats go out several times a day. If you large the photo above you can see this boat heading out with a group of people.

These photo's were taken at the Park for Paws. It's a cute little park. Buddy found a ball there and he was so happy, he wouldn't let it go. I couldn't imagine holding a ball like that in my mouth. LOL!

These are pictures of who you ask?! You mean not more pictures of Buddy. That's right this is Tigger our cat when he was smaller. Before I got my craft room I would scrap and do my crafts on the couch and coffee table in the living room. I love these pictures of Tigger curled up with my scrapbooking stuff. Boy that cat sure is flexible, can't imagine. LOL!

Thematic Photographic 22 - NIght

I'm a little late at posting this. The theme this week (until Wednesday) at Written inc Thematic Photo is Night.

This first photo was taken this past 4th of July by my sister Kay. She took the picture and didn't realize that the last firework that went off was a flag until she looked at the photos. I didn't even see the flag. The rest of the photos I took myself. My sister accidently took this picture she went to take a photo of something else real quick and got this instead. Pretty cool!

The picture of the moon was taken Feb. 10, 2006 at Walt Disney World FL. It was our last night in Disney we were leaving the magic kingdom and we were boarding the bus when I noticed the moon so I snapped a quick photo of it.

Each year in washington park they have a Tulip Festival that is held over Mother's Day weekend. The park is loaded with tulips and other various flowers. I'm sorry I don't know what type of flower this is. I go to the festival to take pictures and enjoy the flowers. I have many more Tulip Festival photos to share in time to come.

The fall colors are just about good. These pictures are of the fall foliage that we took a few weeks ago when we went up to the Katterskill falls. The fall colors were gorgeous. The days are getting shorter and then nights are getting longer and colder. Before you know it the snow will be flying.

I love these two pictures. Okay yeah I am a little bias I love all the pictures that I have of Buddy. This one he his licking his lips, he must see something real yummy. We were in the car when this picture was taken, wonder what he saw. The second picture is of Tigger our cat. This picture is of the Castle in Walt Disney World Florida USA 2006 Trip. I love this picture of the castle with the blue sky and clouds just makes it look even more like a fairy tale. We lucked out we got to the Magic Kingdom early enough where there weren't that many people in front of the castle.

ABC Wednesday - Letter O

It's time for ABC Wednesday. This week's letter is O for Octopus. Yeah it's a scary weird looking octopus. These pictures were taken this past August in Lake George New York at a miniature golf place called Gooney Golf It's called Gooney Golf because there are 18 holes each with a different "Gooney" theme. We've been to Lake George nearly every summer and always wanted to visit the Gooney Golf and play but from one reason or another we never did it. Finally this past summer we took the day went to Lake George to play minature golf and eat at the A&W Rootbeer float place (yummmy).

As I posted these photos my dear friend Forgetfulone
was in my thoughts. The other day she left me a blog comment stating she was happy I finally shared a picture of myself. Well here is another photo of me but don't get used to it, I'm the one always behind the camera I hate being in front of it.

My Word Issue II

This is the second issue of That's My World, it's a interesting meme where people from all over the globe share pictures of their part of the world.

This picture is an older photo but the park/bridge still looks the same. This is the Catskill New York Boat Launch, the bridge in the distance is the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and the river is the Hudson River. I wanted to go this past weekend and take more pictures of the boat launch/park area but it was a rainy weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to take some pictures this weekend.

Buddy loves Aunt Kay. This photo's make me laugh and smile they are to funny. My sister Kay is a riot and she comes over every Friday night to scrapbook with me and just hang out. This past Friday we decided to have a photo shoot with Buddy all he wanted to do with give Aunt Kay some kisses. Who doesn't love a big wet kiss with a tongue that can wrap around your whole head practically? LOL!

This photo was taken this past August in Lake George New York, which is aprox. 1 1/2 - 2 hour drive from our house. Lake George is a gorgeous place to visit. There is so much to do on the lake (even in Lake George in general), you can rent a boat, go on a big tour boat (loads of fun), sit by the lake, shop by the lake, take a horse ride buggy along side the lake, parasail (if you click on the photo to enlarge it in the distance you will see a parasailer and one of the several big tour boats). It was a gorgeous day, I love visiting Lake George.

Thematic Photographic 21 - Happy Part 2

This week over at Written the Thematic Photo prompt is Happy. I wanted to share a few more of my happy photos with you.

Our Son Dylan was Born Oct. 26, 2004. He was born premature at a weight of 4 Pds. 2 oz 18 1/2 in. long. He was born small but healthy. Being that he was so healthy he was able to stay in the room with me and his dad (dad stayed the whole time in the hospital with us) Dylan didn't have to go to the NICU (the ward for babies we aren't healthy). When I was released from the hospital Dylan got to come home with us being he was healthy. We had a strict feeding schedule to follow to make him gain weight and get him to continue to be healthy. Each dr. visit the dr was more and more excited with Dylan's progress we were actually able to cut back the feeding schedule a little (at first he was feed every hour on the hour and if he refused to eat you had to make him eat and if the first feeding schedule took an hour you started with the next feeding). At Dylan's last dr. visit he weighed 7 pds. We were looking forward to our first Christmas with Dylan, we were so excited. We said that weren't going to go crazy on buying toys because he really didn't understand, well that was a lie we went shopping and boy did we spend. Sadly to say our Dylan passed away unexpectedly to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death) on Dec. 6, 2004. Tomorrow (Oct. 26) he would have turned 4. You ask how is this considered a happy post, because we have a lot to be happy for. We got to spend 3 precious months with our Dylan and we wouldn't trade that for the world. We have a photo album that is filled from cover to cover with photos (thankfully I'm a photo freak). Yeah we wish he was here with us, there isn't a day that goes by that we don't think of him or miss him. But we have to remember the happy times not the sad. Please, we ask that this weekend you give your children, grandchildren, or just that special child in your life an extra hug and tell them you love them. If they don't live near by pick up the phone and call them. And give them an extra squeeze from me.

This photo was taken 3 days prior to Dylan passing. He wouldn't open his eyes at all for the pictures, he napped the whole time. We are very happy to have these photos.

This photo makes me laugh. It never failed every time I went to change Dylan he would pee on me. I never did get a chance to master this task. On this particular occassion "Dad" was rather quick to snap a photo, he found it funny every time it happened.

Yes I will admit Dylan looks very uncomfortable in the basket but I couldn't resist myself. He wasn't in there long at all I only took 2 photos (honestly). The basket was a babyshower gift from a girl at work, she sewn the fabric onto the wicker basket.

This is our little man getting chunky. He was doing so well!

This is my favorite picture. Look at that smirk on his face, would love to know what was going through that little head of his. We had to keep him bundled up to keep him warm being he was so tiny. I love this photo.

Thank you for letting me share our Dylan with you. It's our way of celebrating his birthday.

These photos are from about 2 years ago. My little sister won a kite in school. This kite is awesome. We made it a family outing at the park to fly kites. This weeks Thematic Photo prompt is Happiness. Oh my where do I begin. I have loads of happy photos. Here is my start I'm sure before the end of the week I will be sharing more with you.

Receiving Buddy kisses are always nice and sloppy. But it's a guarantee that a Buddy kiss no matter how mess will make you smile and cheer you up on a bad day.

Spending time with my sister is a blast. She is loads of fun to be around. You can guarantee she is going to make you laugh before she goes home.

My sister is now 13 years old, we are 17 years apart and we are very close. She comes over every Friday night to spend time with me. She is my best friend. Her blog can be seen here (This is an older picture)

These next few photo's indicate what makes Buddy happy. Eating, taking walks in the park, sleeping, and going in the car are a few of the things that make Buddy happy. You can not say the word bye bye or lets go in the car without him going crazy. When you say those words you better mean it. He loves to stick his head out the car window for some fresh air. The first photo is when Buddy was a puppy (he's an ox now). He is so good in the car.

Our dog Buddy loves to cuddle under the blankets. A few of the pictures are of Buddy when he was younger, such a tiny thing. You will notice he has blue spots on him, that's because he got into a pen and it was all over him. (you can see my Buddy the Blue Dog Scrapbook page here).

My World Issue 1

You guessed it I found another Photography meme, I'm in heaven. This photography blogs are awesome because they bring together people from all around the world all walks of live, it's fascinating. That's My World Blog is a blog where you share your town, parks, beaches anything in the world that you love. Come over and check it out.

The pictures I'm sharing with you this week are from our trip to our local town park. The town park has great walking paths and dogs are welcome. It's a great place to take the dog for a stroll. There is also a little stream that is where all the dogs go swimming in the summer (I have loads of those pictures to share at a later time).

This is the little stream. In some spots it is deep and our old camera has seen the bottom of the stream (not a good idea to take the digital camera and dog in the water - wasn't but I won't mention no names though Jeff).

This is so addicting. I am in heaven with Thematic Photographic the theme until this Wednesday is blurry pictures. This blog lets you see the not so perfect pictures in a whole new perspective. While I was going through and looking at what other bloggers blur pictures I noticed Buddy (my dog) was sleeping next to me and I grabbed the camera. As soon as I grab that camera he goes into action barking not a mean bark but he keeps barking because he knows it's hard to get a picture with him moving (duh the light just went on I have other settings on my camera I'll have to play with them the next time still learning the settings). I just keep snapping pictures and I do come out with several good ones. Here is my barking I mean blurry dog .

Thematic Photographic 20 - Blur

One blog leads to another blog and then before you know it I stumble across another photography blog. This one is called Thematic Photographic . These one seems very interesting and seems like it's going to be loads of fun.

This week's theme is Blur. We have have those photo's regardless that come out blurry. I had to really go through my recycle bin on my computer to take them out. I have loads of blurry pictures but I already trashed them once I upload them to my computer I keep the nice ones and toss the blur ones. I especially have blurry pictures of Buddy (my dog) because he runs from the camera and I chase after him snapping away in hopes to get at least one good photo.

This first one is of my little sister (age 13) last Christmas. All she wanted for Christmas was an IPOD. The very last present she opened was an IPOD and she started to cry and I went to take her picture and she pushed me away. Here she thought Ha Ha the picture was blurry and it would never be shared. Guess again!!??!

This next set of photo's was taken on our 2006 Walt Disney World Vacation this is the Spectro Magic Light Show (my favorite of all time). The digital camera we had at the time was horrible I hated it. It's hard to tell from these shots but we did manage to get quiet a few good pictures of the parade.

Scenic Sunday 14

I came across another photography meme called Scenic Sunday. It's a meme where you share your scenic photo's (landscapes, flowers, buildings, etc.). I love to take photo's especially this time of year I really appreciate the area in which we live in (Upstate New York). These mountains are literally in our backyard. It's about a 5 - 10 minute drive not even from our house. This is going up the mountain along the Katterskill Creek in Palenville NY. This is the trail that Rip Van Winkle took (see the sign below). It's a twisty turny ride to the top but what gorgeous scenery surround you on both sides. I have plenty more pictures from our adventure yesterday (10-18-08) we took over 300 pictures. Check this post for a few more pictures and this post for the view of our front yard. I came across a new meme called SkyWatch, it's a blog where you share photo's of the sky. Can be any photo as long as the sky is in the picture. Go check it out there are some breathe taking shots people have taken. This is my first SkyWatch post, hope you enjoy!

This picture was taken today (Oct. 18) we took a ride around the mtn side to take pictures of the gorgeous foliage. You can't really see the foliage in this photo but I love the way the sun is shining through and how blue the sky is.

Look at that sky so blue!!! This picture was also taken today. This is the tree in my front yard. What a gorgeous fall day.

It is very hard to get a good photo of Buddy because he usually turns away from the camera, it never fails. Usually when I have the camera I just snap and snap and snap hoping I get a decent photo. This photo was taking in our yard today (Oct. 18). We have a gorgeous red tree in our yard (can be seen here) I love the look of Buddy in the red leafs, his the perfect color for fall photos. I also love how the sun light is hitting him in this picture.

Today Buddy got to go to the park and play for a few. On the way back in the house he stopped to give Tigger (our Cat) a kiss. From the look on Tigger's face he doesn't seem to be enjoying the kiss. Usually Buddy either attacks the cat but only if we show the cat attention first or he usually just ignores the cat.

Katterskill Falls

Today we drove up the Mtn to take pictures of the gorgeous fall foliage. We went to the Kattersill Falls. The falls are aprox 260 feet high and is the highest waterfall in New York State. We took the trail up the waterfall and we got pretty high up and I started to get sick, I was very dizzy and light headed, I have never in the past had an issue with heights. It's so gorgeous, the mtns surround you on both sides. The colors were fantastic!

I have to figure out how to do a slideshow because I have a lot of great pictures from today that I would love to share.

Take time to smell the Lillies

These photo's are of Buddy when he was small and when we could keep him off the leash and he would stay in the yard (the days before our crazy neighbor got the idea to leave bones on his porch for Buddy now he has to stay on a leash). I love these photos, he is so delicate with the flowers and he is so small, wish he would have stayed that size he's now a 100 pound solid ox.

In follow up to our neighbor situation (can read here) and other ongoing issues with our neighbor we have finally found a lawyer to help us and we have a very solid case against the him. Thanks for all of your support and helpful advise.

I do apologize normally I would not post anything but craft related items on this post but I am calling for everyone's help. My dog Buddy occasionally slips his collar/leash and when I say occasionally I mean once a month if that, we always walk him on the leash. Sometimes we go out of the house and the door doesn't catch and he comes out etc. . When he does he runs over to the neighbors yard and either my husband or I are quick behind Buddy to get him back. The neighbor today made the comment "If your dog comes over here one more time I will shoot him" and it was said in anger. I am lived beyond belief. We called our local police department there is nothing they can do being Buddy "isn't human". They can only do something if the neighbor was to shoot Buddy. Can you imagine??!??!?! I called the ASPCA and I am waiting to hear back for an investigator. This is just the tip of the ice berg with the issues we have with our neighbor. His dog is continuously coming in our yard several times a day if not more. Does anyone have any other solutions for what I can do? We have invested in an above ground electric fence that we have installed and will begin using. But still how does someone get away with threating a dog? Buddy is not a vicious dog at all

Frisbee Fun

Buddy loves his frisbee. These are a few my favorite frisbee pics of Buddy. I am glad the dollar store carries frisbees because we sure do go through them pretty quickly around here. The yellow one he has in the first few pictures has last him a very long time, so every so often we go to the dollar store and stock up on them.

I recently came across a meme called Camera Critters, it's a blog where you post pictures of your "critters" animals of all sort from the Lions at the zoo to the bird in your backyard and then on Sunday evening the meme owner will pick a picture to showcase on her blog for the week. I thought this was perfect since I love to take pictures of my dog Buddy.

This picture is of my dog Buddy when we first got him 2 years ago. Boy has he grown since then. This is one of my favorite pictures of him.

The Big E Fair

We spent all day Monday at the Big E Fair in W. Springfield, MA (http://www.thebige.com/). We had a wonderful time. At the end of the day we were thankful we got a room instead of making the trip back home because boy was it a lot of walking and we barely sat down. It's about an hour and a half drive from our home but it wasn't a trip we would have been up for last night. I did have one big disappointment yesterday. A few weeks ago I received an email from House Mouse rubber stamp Co. stating come visit them at the Big E they will have a booth. We searched and searched and finally we found them but NO rubber stamps they had pre-max produced bookmarks, cards, calenders, and keychains with their images on them but NO stamps. On the bright side in another booth was a stamp Lady (Sarasota Stamps) she's from FL. I made 2 trips to her booth (3 stamps, 6 bottle of stickles, and 13 bottles of embossing powder).

Any how this cute little goat loved to have his picture taken. He stood right there like to say "I'm posing take my picture".

This was in the 4H booth I believe. That pumpkin the the far back is huge. It weighed 908 Lbs. that is the Big E's largest pumpkin to ever be entered.

Indiana Jones is made out of Legos. Jeff and I were taking turns taking our picture when the man running the booth came over and offered to take our picture together, which I thought was very nice.

This Donkey is smart. I was standing there watching him and he kept banging his head on the food container to say Hey jackass stop staring at me and feed me.

I did have one other disappointment while at the fair. For a good portion of the day my camera did not work, I dropped it. Finally, Jeff got tired of me crying about my camera that we sat down and he played with it and he couldn't get it to work. So then he took the memory card and batteries out and shook it put everything back in and it worked fine and still is working! So Thank you Jeffrey!

Peanut Butter Dog

First I must say the first picture of Buddy is my favorite. When we first purchased Buddy he was about 4 weeks old and was a wild little puppy. We hired a dog trainer and he came out and he gave us some guidance on how to discipline Buddy and he also mentioned a Kong (<--- click for more info on a kong) would occupy Buddy and keep him out of trouble. Well 2 years later Buddy is well behaved and he finally (just recently) got his Kong. We fill his Kong with peanut butter. Today the peanut butter jar was just about empty so Jeff gave the container to Buddy (yes he is spoiled). Buddy loved every minute of it.

And yes, we vacuum our rug every evening but you can tell it is filled with dog hair. That is because our house is built on dog fur and we wouldn't have it any other way. Well I would have a better color rug (its the original rug in the house, that's our next be project new rugs).

Handsome Dog

Buddy (our dog) hates to have his picture taken. When you turn on the camera it makes a beep and as soon as he hears the beep he gets up and moves. Tonight I was surprise that he laid on the bed and let me take his picture, not one not two pictures but 25 pictures! I have to play with the other settings on my camera to see if I can get the pictures without the "Pet Eye".

I love the first picture of him looking up, that was perfect timing. I will be scrapping that one for sure!

A little background on Buddy: He is a full breed yellow lab. He is 2 years old he will be 3 this February. He is very spoiled and he knows it. He loves to go in the car. We can not even spell the word ride in our house Buddy will go nuts he knows what it means. Laugh but I'm serious. If you say the word "Bye Bye" you best be taking him "Bye Bye" in the car with you otherwise you will have to wrestle him away from the door. This big ox sleeps on the bed with us, and when he's cold he goes under the covers. He's our buddy!

Good morning visitor

Happy Labor Day! I am enjoying the day off from work, catching up on my craft challenges.

This morning we woke up and Jeff pulled open the blinds and there was a visitor on the window. And yes, the window does need to be cleaned, it is dirty but that's not on the list of to do's today. Maybe in will be on the list of to do's in 3 weeks when I'm on vacation, we'll see.

More Lake George / Silly day with my Sister

Jeff took this picture of the pier. Out of all the times we have visited Lake George this has been the least busiest. Usually it is packed with people.
Couldn't have asked for a better clearer day. This picture was taken up top of the pier were you can look out over the lake. (Great view up there).
Minus the sun streak this picture cracks me up. It looks like I'm having an actual conversation with Mr. Pirate. I didn't even realize Jeff snap this picture until we got home. Looks like I'm offering him some Pepsi.
This is my sister Kay. So hard to believe this girl is 13 already!!! She was a good sport today she let me do her hair (maybe not the brightest idea).
This is Kay (my sister) being.......Kay (herself). She is a goofy girl and a lot of fun to be with. She is a camera hog but it doesn't bother me I rather be behind the camera she prefers to be in front of the camera.

I like how the Lake looks so peaceful and relaxing. I love visiting Lake George. Our next adventure in a few weeks will take us to MA to the Big E Fair, never been there before but look forward to going. I return to work this Monday and I'm counting down to my next vacation in 3 weeks (hey don't we work for the weekend/vacation time)!!!!

I am looking to invest into a good photo editing program what are your sugestions? I am looking for one that you can remove images from the picture, if blury can clean it up a little, the basics nothing overly fancy.

Lake George NY

I had the week off from work, and it's winding down to the end almost. Today Jeff and I took a day trip up North to Lake George NY it's aprox. 2 hour drive from our house. When we first got together (11 years ago) we used to go to Lake George every Summer, it has to be about 2 years since we've been up there. Today we we went to Gooney Golf (19 hole mini-golf). Out of all the years we've been to Lake George even as a child with my parents I always wanted to go to Gooney Golf but for some reason never made it there. Today my wish came true (LOL) and I got to go not once but twice (hey I'm a kid trapped in an adult body). We went early this morning and then later in the day when the sun was coperating more for picture taking.

This is Humpty Dumpty, he is one of the mini-golf holes. Each hole had a different theme (kangaroos, Cinderella's carriage, alligators, dinosaurs etc). This hole you had to get the ball through the grids on the bottom then out the other side into the actual hole. Each spot had 2 task (you had get the ball through something then in the actual hole)
This is my hole in one!!! GO CHRISSY!!! Yes, Jeff got a hole in one too and yes we do have a picture but who wants to see that? LOL!

The A&W Restaraunt. Yummmmmmyyy.......can't go to Lake George without eating here. The food is delicious and the prices are fantastic too. OOOH and not to forget the out of this world root beer floats, yummy! The scrapbooker in me had every intention to take a picture of the food when it came but that didn't work out once I started eating I couldn't stop and the idea of the picture went to the curb.

We sat down my the river for awhile watching the boaters and pairasailers. It was such a gorgeous day. I thought this picture was cool, it's our reflect in the water (see how clear and clean that water is) when a duck came passing by.
